Overview
Super Dan is a forage grass in Zinbioseed's forage seed range.
Forage grasses give livestock farms a reliable supply of fresh green feed. Fast-growing, high-yielding varieties can be cut again and again through the season, lowering feed costs for cattle, goats and other herbivores.
Key features
- Fast regrowth for repeated cutting
- High yields of palatable green fodder
- Feed fresh or conserve as silage
Growing guide
- LandPlough deeply and work in well-rotted manure: forage grasses respond strongly to fertile soil.
- SowingSow in rows into moist soil and cover the seed lightly.
- FertiliserTop-dress with nitrogen after each cut to drive fast regrowth.
- CuttingCut before the grass becomes stemmy and coarse, leaving a stubble of 10–15 cm so the plants regrow quickly.
