Mustard No. 6 is a choy sum leafy green in Zinbioseed's vegetable seed range.

Choy sum is one of the most widely grown leafy greens in the region, cooked in soups and stir-fries. Its very short cycle lets growers take many crops a year from the same beds.

Growing guide

  1. BedsPrepare fine, raised beds rich in organic matter.
  2. SowingSow thinly in rows or broadcast, cover lightly and water gently.
  3. ThinningThin the seedlings to 10–15 cm apart once they have two or three true leaves.
  4. Water and feedWater daily in hot weather and top-dress with a little diluted nitrogen, stopping 7–10 days before harvest.
