Overview

SSC 018 is a heat-tolerant curly lettuce in Zinbioseed's vegetable seed range. It is bred to tolerate heat, so it keeps growing and holds its quality in the hot season, when most lettuce bolts and turns bitter.

Lettuce is eaten fresh with many meals, from spring rolls to grilled dishes. Most lettuces struggle in hot weather, bolting and turning bitter, so heat-tolerant types are valuable for year-round supply in the south.

Growing guide

  1. SowingLettuce seed is small and needs light: sow shallowly and keep the surface moist. In hot weather, sow in the evening and shade the bed.
